Antique circa 1910s- 20s French work trousers.


Heavily repaired, worn and patched.

 

No size label or maker's label on these.

Please check the measurements at the bottom of the listing and do read the points on condition.

 

All cotton, a checked striped fabric with a woven square motif, patched with dog tooth check cotton in parts.  V back with cinch buckled belt. Side pockets and buttoned fly. Corozo buttons at the fly. 

 

Showing decades of hand repair and darning from various points in time to repair and repair again. Patched and mended all over on the legs with patched inserts and multiple areas of darning.

 

 

Stained and marked in parts- discoloured at the upper back and belt with faded mottled areas of uneven colour and small fray holes.  The cinch buckle is rusted and flakey but still works.

Showing marks, fading and areas of uneven colour. Worn and repaired at the hems.  

All over wear, some wear at the fly, seam edges.

The buttons are mismatched, some worn, some rusted and range from metal to corozo.  

Marked and stained in parts, some rust marks, brownish stains, ingrained marks and some discolouration etc.  

The pocket liners show repairs at the corners, the pocket openings worn and repaired.

The change/ ticket pocket has been stitched up and patched.

 

Laundered.

 

Measured at 30" at the waist in total UNCINCHED- you can cinch them in a couple of inches with the back belt

rise is 13 1/2
18" across at approx hip level (these are men's pants however and will fit women differently)
12" across the top of the leg at the thigh, side to side
21" across the front, side to side at the base of the fly
