Vintage circa 1920s French chore jacket.
 
Marked a vintage French 44 on the label. 
 
Lighter weight cotton drill jacket- simple and unlined with shawl collar and single porcelain button fastening.  Two lower pockets at the front. Plain sleeves. Chest pocket and inner pocket.
 
Some light fray wear along the bottom edge of the hem. A few small fray holes and some patching and overstitching at the lower front each side- see photos- and a repair at the side of  the pocket. General wear, minor marks. 
 
Laundered. 

16 1/2" seam to seam across the shoulders at the back
Sleeves are 24 1/2"  from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve
From nape to hem is 25 1/2"
19" across the chest under the arms, the same across the back, measured flat, side to side, pit to pit 
18" across at approx waist height
20 1/2" across at the bottom edge
