Early French cotton corduroy jodhpurs.

Circa 1910s-20s.

Super rare striped cord with contrast striped cotton patched lining.

No modern day size label on these- please refer to the measurements are at the bottom of this listing....

Button fastening fly with deep double buttoned waistband. Side pockets. Cinch buckled v back, mismatched buttons around the waistband including pressed card and metal. Buttoned at the lower legs.

Faded down to a charcoal colour (slightly brownish-greyish in tone), the striped cotton lining looks to have been possibly been fashioned from an early military hospital garment (its stamped HM- hopital militaire). The back part of the lining and the pocket liners show patched repairs.

There is a patched repair on the lower leg and several scattered overstitched repairs- on the legs, base of the fly, in the liners etc.

A few small fray nicks and minor marks. Some marks/ discolouration in the lining.

Measured at 33 1/2" at the waist in total- you can cinch them in a bit with the back belt
23" inside leg/ inseam
35" outside leg length (measured up and down straight- ie not around the curve)
Across the legs at the hem is 5 1/2"
Across at calf level is 7" (at the top of the button placket)
The rise is 16"
20 1/4" across at approx "hip" level
(FYI- these were originally designed to fit the male form and will fit women differently)
