Vintage circa 1950s British railway shunter's jacket.
 
Black Melton style wool front with cotton arms in a faded charcoal colour.  Three slip pockets at the front and 5 domed metal "British Railways" buttons to fasten, calico lining.  These are cut shorter in the torso and on the arms- by design.
No issue label.   
 
A few areas of surface wear / tracking and a few nips on the wool part. See photos.  The calico lining has greyed and shows a few minor marks here and there.  The back section and sleeves are faded and show areas of uneven colour and a few marks.  Minor general wear.
