Vintage circa 1950s-60s dark grey cotton chore smock/ gown.
 
European in origin, sourced from France and most likely utility/ military services issue.
No size markings, labels or issue stamps.
 
**This is cut and designed to be worn as an overgarment, so is quite roomy at 26" across pit to pit-  please check the below measurements**  
 
Simple cotton smock style garment, a medium weight cotton, with two laces to fasten at the slit neckline which is loosely pleated at the front of the neckline. One inner D shaped pocket.  Plain sleeves.
 
Good used condition, note that there are areas of uneven colour at the front with one side showing a little fading. Some minor signs of wear here and there, the fabric is slightly slubby by design so there are few little slubs here and there. 
 
21 1/4" seam to seam across the shoulders at the back
Sleeves are 24 1/2" from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve 
From nape to hem is 35"
26" across the chest under the arms, the same across the back, measured flat, side to side, pit to pit 
31 1/2" side to side, across at the bottom edge.
