Vintage circa 1960s blue cotton chore smock shirt
 
European in origin, sourced from France and most likely utility/ military services issue.
No size markings, labels or issue stamps.
 
**This is cut and designed to be worn as an overgarment, so is quite roomy at 27 3/4" across pit to pit-  please check the below measurements**  
 
Simple cotton smock style garment, a medium weight cotton, with lace fastening at the neckline. 
Expansion gussets under the arms at the sleeves which gather into cuff bands.
 
Worn here and there, there's a small hand repair at the neckband, some surface wear/ pilling.  There are several scattered small fray holes, some areas of uneven colour and some stains/ marks here and there.

Sleeves are 17 1/4" from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve 
From nape to hem is 31 1/2"
27 3/4" across the chest under the arms, the same across the back, measured flat, side to side, pit to pit 
27 1/2" side to side, across at the bottom edge.
